Help Save Kiran S. S – A Young Life Fighting Dyskeratosis Congenita

My name is Geethu S and I am writing this appeal with deep pain and hope.

Kiran S. S, a 23-year-old young man, was recently diagnosed with Dyskeratosis Congenita, a rare and serious genetic disorder. He is currently undergoing treatment at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, where doctors have advised an Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant as the only life-saving option.

The estimated cost of this transplant is ₹25,00,000 (Twenty-Five Lakhs), and it may increase depending on complications. For a family like ours, this amount is impossible to arrange.

Kiran is the eldest son. His father works as a tailor, earning just enough to run the household. His mother is a housewife who manages the home. Kiran also has a younger sister who is still studying. After completing his studies, Kiran wanted to begin working and support his family, but due to his worsening health, he has been unable to take up any job.

Today, Kiran is fighting for his life. We are fighting alongside him — but we cannot do it alone.

ഈ ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് ഏകദേശം ₹25,00,000 (ഇരുപത്തിയഞ്ച് ലക്ഷം രൂപ) ആവശ്യമാണ്, കൂടാതെ മറ്റ് പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായാൽ ചെലവ് കൂടി ഉയരാനുമാവാം. ഞങ്ങള പോലുള്ള ഒരു സാധാരണ കുടുംബത്തിന് ഈ തുക സ്വരൂപിക്കുക അസാധ്യമാണ്.

കിരൺ കുടുംബത്തിലെ മൂത്ത മകനാണ്. അവന്റെ അച്ഛൻ ഒരു ടീമൽക്കാരനാണ്; ദിവസവേതനത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് വീട്ടുചെലവുകൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്നത്. അമ്മ വീട്ടുപണി നോക്കി കുടുംബത്തെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. കൂടാതെ പഠിക്കുന്ന ഒരു അനിയത്തിയും ഉണ്ട്. പഠനം കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ജോലി ചെയ്ത് കുടുംബത്തിന് സഹായകമാകണമെന്നാണ് കിരണിന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം—പക്ഷേ ഗുരുതരമായ അസുഖം കാരണം ഒരു ജോലിയെങ്കിലും ആരംഭിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
