As a daughter, I have watched him work tirelessly. My father, Sabyasachi Mujherjee, will always be someone who I look upto, a pillar of strength. For most of his life, he worked as a supervisor in a small factory and handled part-time accounts to ensure our family never lacked necessities. Never complaining , he only provided for us.
But in January 2026, our whole world shattered. My father was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. By then, his body had already begun showing signs. From blood in his stool, to drastic weight loss, and even constant weakness. Watching him shrink day by day broke my heart in ways words cannot explain.
Today, he is undergoing chemotherapy, bravely enduring the pain and side effects. His hands are swollen, his strength is low, yet his will to live remains unshaken. Doctors have advised chemotherapy followed by surgery to remove the tumor, adjusted carefully based on how his body responds. This treatment is urgent and life-saving. It is his only reach chance to have the cancer stop spreading. So, each day matters.
As I am the only earning member in our family, the cost of treatment has far exceeded what I can manage alone. We have already spent around ₹1.75 lakh, relying on crowdfunding to survive this fight. But, he needs a few lakhs more…
Now I wish to see my father healthy again, resting peacefully in a safe and loving environment.
