My name is Sutinderpreet Kaur and I’m writing this not just as a daughter, but as someone trying everything she can to save her father’s life.
Earlier this year, my father, Bhupinder Singh Randhawa, 63 years old and full of life—started losing weight rapidly. Being a disciplined and active person, we thought it might be due to his heart condition or dietary changes. But by February 2025, his health took a sudden turn. He became extremely weak, his skin turned yellow, and he complained of severe abdominal pain and loss of appetite.
After returning from a short trip to Punjab, his condition worsened. We immediately consulted doctors at Apollo Hospital. Scans revealed a tumor in the head of the pancreas, which was later confirmed to be pancreatic cancer. Our world collapsed further when we learned that the cancer had already spread to his liver.
Due to high bilirubin levels, doctors couldn’t perform the standard Whipple procedure and instead conducted a bypass surgery to stabilize him. This surgery alone cost us nearly ₹12 lakhs, including hospitalization, scans, and medication. It took him almost three weeks to recover.
Once he was stable, we moved him to Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai where chemotherapy began. He has bravely completed three cycles so far. But the latest reports broke our hearts once again—the cancer has advanced further into his liver. He is now extremely frail, with very little appetite and energy left.
Doctors have now recommended shifting to a more advanced form of chemotherapy - targeted therapy which could offer him a better chance at survival. However, this treatment is significantly more expensive and long-term. We are now trying to raise ₹20 lakhs to continue his treatment and give him every possible chance to fight this cruel disease. Until now, we’ve spent over ₹16 lakhs from our savings. But now, we cannot do this alone.
My father is not just a patient. He’s our rock, our guiding light, the one who always stood strong for us. Today, we’re trying to do the same for him. I humbly ask for your support—any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. And if you can’t donate, please share this with others who might be able to help.
Please keep him in your prayers. Your kindness can help us give him a real chance at life.
The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.
