Latest Update

Dear Friends,

Faraaz Khan passed away after 26 days in CCU at a Hospital in Bangalore. He was diagnosed with Brain Encephalitis (Brain Herpes) & Pneumonia.

Recalling his last moments, Faraaz opened up his eyes around 9 PM and glanced around at all his loved ones and went back to sleep, never to wake up again.

Faraaz responded to the treatment initially, however, due to low immunity, his condition deteriorated eventually.

His immunity was dangerously low in his last days. Understanding the seriousness of his condition, the doctors had to administer 11 bottles of immunoglobulin to boost his immunity. While that helped for a few days, his lung also developed pulmonary fibrosis. Faraaz could not recuperate from pneumonia and encephalitis.

Faraaz was lain to rest in Bangalore, in the same grave of his father, actor Late Mr Yusuf Khan aka Zebisko. May God bless his soul.

We thank Each One of You and Impact Guru once again for the kindness and generosity you all showered to Faraaz’s treatment.

“God Bless each one of you & your families”.

Story

My dear brother, a cherished friend and a loved artist lies on the brink of life today. Faraaz Khan who gave many years of his life to the art of acting and gave his best in front of the camera only to impress his audience needs your help to survive today. Please help me raise enough funds to get Faraaz the treatment he needs.

Faraaz khan son of Veteran Bollywood actor of the 70's late Yusuf Khan who popularly known as Zebisko of the bollywood movies of 70s. He grew up looking him in the mirror and rehearsing his lines. He always said that whatever we do we must put all our heart and soul into it. Faraaz kept the same thought in his mind throughout his career in the movie industry. He worked very hard to ensure that he puts his best foot forward in his work. You all might fondly remember him with 'Rani Mukherjee from the 1998 movie, Mehendi' and his debut film 'Fareb' from 1996 was a super hit and much appreciated in his time in the film industry. Yes! That’s my brother!

Faraaz had been suffering from a cough and an infection in his chest for nearly a year. Recently, the coughing had aggravated so due to the prevailing pandemic, he decided to consult the doctor over a video call. Over the video consultation on 8th October 2020, the doctor saw his condition and recommended that he gets himself admitted to a hospital as his cough was quite intense and to prevent any further infection, hospitalization was the best thing to do. So, immediately we called for an ambulance. However what happened after that has shaken us up to the core.

While the ambulance was on its way, Faraaz suddenly suffered a seizure. He suddenly started shaking uncontrollably and couldn’t control his movements either. As soon as the ambulance arrived, Faraaz was out on a stretcher and was being lowered into the ambulance when he suffered another seizure. As the ambulance was rushing to Vikram Hospital, Banglore, he suffered a third seizure in the ambulance in such a short time span.

Faraaz was admitted to the emergency ward of Vikram hospital where we found out that he suffered three consecutive seizures due to a herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest. Besides, while he suffered from these seizures, he swallowed the mucous and saliva of his cough which entered his lungs and caused pneumonia in there. Because of this his blood pressure and heartbeat increased massively and he wasn’t able to breathe. He was put in the ICU care where after a series of complicated procedures and heavy antibiotics he was brought to stability.

However, his vitals have been fluctuating and he is still unconscious in the ICU. The doctors are trying their best to get him out of danger but that will require another 7-10 days of critical care. This will cost us around Rs 25 lakhs. It has been years since Faraaz has worked in films. And 25 lakhs is a huge amount to be arranged. We have a simple life and earn our living with our job and enjoy spending the weekends with our family.

The doctors have said that there is a chance that Faraaz can get better and go back to his normal life. But this will only be possible if he receives the necessary treatment in the ICU and hospitalization and medical care after that. This shall only be possible with your help and support. Please donate for our campaign and share it with your family and friends to save a fellow artist, a brother, a friend.

Hello Dear Friends,

Thank you All for showering your kindness and generosity for Faraaz and contributing for the treatment.

Keeping in mind Faraaz’s medical condition (he continues to be in the CCU) the treatment for the brain Herpes is going well and he is improving. However the phenomena remains under critical attention as the doctors see slow progress but Faraaz has not had any set backs from the treatment while he still remains on the ventilator.

We pray to the almighty for his speedy recovery.

While our earlier posts notified to you all that we have not reached the full fund capacity for his treatment we seek your help in contributing as much as possible, we are sure that patients like Faraaz need a long standing treatment in the hospital to recover.

Once again friends thank you to each one of you for contributing/generosity for his treatment, request you all and others to kindly continue to contribute to meet his hospital expenses.

God bless you all.
