When 11-year-old Anurag wants to play, he still turns around expecting to find his little brother beside him.
For a moment, he forgets. Then reality hits. Ujaan isn't home. He's in the hospital. Again.
"Everyone asks me how I am. I just want someone to tell me my brother will be okay. He is too small to understand what is happening. But I understand enough to be scared”, Anurag says.
No child should have to pray for his brother's survival. But blood cancer has forced Anurag to do exactly that.

At just 2 years old, Ujaan has spent so much of his life in hospitals that he no longer fears them. He laughs with nurses. He plays games from a hospital bed. He makes friends with other children undergoing treatment.
To him, this is normal. He doesn't know that most children his age spend their days in parks, daycare centres, and playgrounds. He doesn't know that blood cancer is trying to take away a life that has barely begun. He doesn't know that his parents lie awake at night wondering how they will save him.

One year ago, recurring fever and vomiting led to a diagnosis that shattered the Biswas family's world – High Risk Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia i.e. blood cancer!
Since then, Ujaan has endured chemotherapy sessions, endless tests, needles, scans, and admissions at Sahyadri hospital. Every time his parents thought they were moving closer to recovery, another hurdle appeared.
Yet the cruellest battle today is no longer medical. It is financial.
To keep Ujaan’s ongoing, his parents have already exhausted nearly ₹15 lakhs. They sold the mother's jewellery. They borrowed wherever they could.
They have nothing left to sell

But Ujaan still needs an Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant, his best chance at survival. His father, Mr. Mintu Biswas, works as a delivery boy and earns just ₹18,000 a month.
No matter how many hours he works, he cannot earn enough to save his son.
Today, Ujaan is still smiling. Still playing. Still believing that everything will be okay.
His brother is still waiting for the day they can play together again. But unless treatment continues, that reunion may never happen. Please help save Ujaan. Help ensure that Anurag gets his brother back.

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.
Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support. Impact Guru provides fundraising support in such cases by maximizing outreach, leveraging all fundraising channels. In order to provide crucial life saving support to such patients, Impact Guru charges marketing cost paid to such third parties and its regular platform and payment gateway fees.
