I am the mother of Shreyansh, our 4-year-old son. Shreyansh was born with many health problems. He has a condition called Encephalocele, which means part of his brain is outside his skull. He also has a cleft lip and palate, his right eye did not develop properly, and his nostrils are far apart. These problems have been there since birth, and no surgeries have been done yet.

Shreyansh has blurred vision in his right eye, and it is hard for him to eat, speak, or breathe properly. Seeing him struggle every day breaks our hearts. He needs multiple surgeries to fix his skull, face, and other problems. These surgeries are the only way to give him a chance at a better life.

My husband works in a private company in Goa and earns a bare minimum. I am a housewife, and Shreyansh is our only child after 8 years of marriage. We live in a rented house, and our income is barely enough to cover our daily expenses. We have no savings left to pay for the expensive surgeries at Balaji Super Speciality Hospital and treatment that Shreyansh needs.

We are desperate for help and are turning to you for support. Your contribution, no matter how small, can help us afford the surgeries and give Shreyansh a chance to live a healthy and happy life.

The goal amount of the campaign may be higher than the attached estimates to address and aid the post-hospitalization expenses/contingencies including but not limited to prolonged medication, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapies, and follow-up doctor visits/consultations which vary from disease to disease.

TREATMENT COST ESTIMATES
Impact Guru has no control over the cost estimates provided by hospitals / clinics / pharmaceutical companies etc. The cost estimates vary depending on the city and / or hospital where the patient is under treatment, professional fees of the treating doctors, drugs / medicines / therapies chosen for treatment by patient or patient’s family at their own discretion including but not limited to unique medical conditions / circumstances pertaining to each patient.
UTILIZATION OF FUNDS
In the rare scenario of surplus funds remaining within the fundraising campaign due to any of the following circumstances:
i) Completion of the Patient's treatment; ii) Receipt of requisite funding for the Patient from alternative sources; iii) Eligibility of the Patient for free treatment under any scheme or the receipt of free treatment by other means; iv) Demise of the Patient; v) Fulfilment of the fundraising campaign's objectives; vi) Termination of the fundraising campaign for any reason; vii) Reduction in the cost of the treatment
Impact Guru shall have the discretion that such surplus funds still left i) can be allocated to assist other patients on Impact Guru in their life-saving treatment, with the objective of maximizing social impact; ii) donors of the fundraising campaign at the sole discretion of Impact Guru may be offered the option to claim a pro-rata refund of surplus funds.
PATIENT DEATH UPDATE
Upon the death of the patient, the Campaigner / close relative / POC on behalf of the patient shall be duty bound to inform Impact Guru immediately within two (2) hours of such occurrence and turn off the donations tab (through the internal access granted) on the campaign on Impact Guru Platform in order to stop fundraising on the campaign. In the event Campaigner or authorised/designated POC on behalf of the patient fails to do so and campaign continues raising funds due to such non-information/non action, the Campaigner or authorised/designated POC on behalf of the patient shall be personally liable any consequences thereof; further, Impact Guru shall be disclaimed of all the liabilities occurring with respect to such post death fundraising and the such liability in entirety shall accrue on Campaigner or authorised/designated POC on behalf of the patient. In the event of death of the patient, Impact Guru’s Patient Death Policy at Terms Of Use shall apply.

Shreyansh’s health condition is currently stable. At present, he is going for regular check-ups as advised by the doctors. The doctors have informed that once he grows a little older, they will advise and plan the next surgery accordingly. Until then, monitoring and follow-up care will continue. Shreyansh is currently recovering well at home after receiving treatment at Balaji Hospital under the care of Dr. Abhinav Gupta.

He was admitted on 24/03/2025 and discharged on 12/04/2025. At present, he is on medications and showing good progress.

The child is cheerful and in much better spirits.

If you have used bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS), UPI or Paytm (using QR code) to make your donation, you will need to verify your donation to receive an acknowledgement of your donation and for your name to appear on the donor list. Here, choose your payment mode (Paytm or Bank transfer/UPI), enter your transaction reference number, donation amount and click on "Confirm".

If you don’t acknowledge your donation, it will appear on the donor list as "Impact Guru donor." You will also have to acknowledge your donation for us to be able to generate your tax benefit certificate.

Is my donation amount publicly displayed?

Yes. You will find it under the "All Donations" tab on the fundraiser. If you would like to donate anonymously, please check the option while putting in your personal details. Your donation will still appear as "Impact Guru Donor."

If you’ve donated through PayTM, UPI or bank transfer options, please ensure you have acknowledged your donation on https://www.impactguru.com/payments to be able to find your name on the donor list.

I don’t live in India. Can I still donate on Impact Guru?

Yes, you can! You can donate through any International credit/debit card or make a wire transfer from anywhere in the world. However, you’ll have to use one of the accepted currencies to make your donation. These include: INR, USD, AED, GBP, SGD, HKD, AUD, CAD and Euro.

My donation didn’t go through. What do I do?

How do I know if a fundraiser offers tax benefits?

For fundraisers that offer Indian, UK or USA tax benefits, it will display a note saying so.A fundraiser that offers tax benefits will display a sign under the image box which says, "Indian tax benefits apply."

How can I track the impact of my donation?

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Whose account will the funds be transferred to?

In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
