At just 6, Samir is fighting blood cancer with courage no child should need.
Samir Kala is only 6 years old. A few months ago, he was full of energy—running around, playing with his toys, and bringing smiles to everyone at home. But three months ago, he developed a high fever and body pain. His parents thought it was a minor illness, but the truth was much more heartbreaking.
Samir was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL), a fast-spreading blood cancer. Since then, life has been a painful routine of hospital visits and injections. He has already undergone 2 chemotherapy sessions and 4 blood transfusions, the most recent chemo being on 14 July 2025.
Doctors say chemotherapy is the only way to give Samir a chance at recovery.
Samir’s father works as a tent decorator and earns ₹350 a day. His mother is a housewife, and Samir is their only child, born after 14 years of marriage. His grandfather, who runs a small tea stall, helps out when he can, but the costs of treatment are rising every week.
Right now, Samir is at home, resting between chemo cycles. He misses school, his friends, and playing outdoors. But what he misses most is feeling like a normal child again.
This little boy deserves a full, healthy life. With timely chemotherapy, that future is still possible.
Your support can give Samir a real chance to grow up, learn, laugh, and live the childhood he’s slowly losing to cancer.

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.
Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support. Impact Guru provides fundraising support in such cases by maximizing outreach, leveraging all fundraising channels. In order to provide crucial life saving support to such patients, Impact Guru charges marketing cost paid to such third parties and its regular platform and payment gateway fees. Impact Guru's constant endeavour is to reduce such outreach costs to maximize social impact of every contribution.
