On March 30th, my life turned upside down.
That morning, Raju left for work like every other day. A few hours later, I got a call back. Not from Raju—but from someone else.
Raju had suffered a terrible electric shock while working with ceiling wires. He was thrown back, unconscious, his body severely burned. Both his legs, his left shoulder, and right hand were damaged beyond recognition. When I rushed back, he was already in the ICU.
Since then, Raju has undergone six painful surgeries. He is still on oxygen support, fighting to breathe, barely able to speak. I visit him every day, hoping he will get better. Hoping he will speak to me again.
We’ve been married four years. We don’t have children yet. Raju was once so active, strong, and full of life. He earned ₹15,000 a month as house help—just enough for us to live simply, but we were happy. He is the family’s only support.
Now, he lies in the ICU, his future uncertain.
I sit beside him and hold the one hand he can still move. I remind him of everything we’ve yet to do—of the life we dreamed of building together. But every moment, my heart breaks, knowing we cannot afford the treatment he needs.
We’ve run out of money. We’re struggling even for food. But Raju needs more surgeries, more care. Without him, I have nothing. He is not just my husband—he is my family, my strength.

We reserve the right to conduct physical visits and/or photo/ video verification as deemed necessary. Such verification measures may apply not only to patients but also to vendors, medical institutions, and other relevant parties, as applicable.
