I am Pulkit’s mother, and my heart aches every day as I watch my 7-year-old son suffer in a hospital bed. Our lives changed forever around Dussehra when a terrible accident left him with severe burns. That day, there was a community feast, and while I was close by, Pulkit was playing near a large pot of hot dal. Suddenly, he stumbled and fell into it. In front of my eyes, my little boy’s body was burned, and he was screaming in pain.

We rushed him to the hospital, and he was admitted right away. The burns covered nearly 70% of his body and have caused severe infections and sepsis. Doctors at Kalda burn & plastic surgery center are doing their best to help him heal, but his recovery will be long and painful. He needs special dressings, strong antibiotics, skin grafting, flap surgeries, and debridement to treat his burns. Each day he fights to stay strong, but even moving is a nightmare for him.

Our financial situation is tough. My husband works as a porter and earns only around 300 rupees daily, while I work as a farm laborer and bring home 150 rupees a day. Together, we barely earn enough to meet basic needs, let alone cover Pulkit’s expensive treatments. Every day I pray for a way to give him relief, but the costs are far beyond what we can afford.

I am asking for your help to save my son. Pulkit deserves a chance to heal and live without this unbearable pain. Please, if you can, donate and share his story. With your support, we can give him the treatment he desperately needs and a chance to live a pain-free life.

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.

90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support.
