My name is Kavithiya Jituben Dilipbhai and my son, Kavithiya Shani Dilipbhai, has been in and out of hospitals for the past 3 years. It all started when he contracted jaundice and we managed to get the proper treatment for him.

However, two months ago, he got sick again and his stomach started to swell up so we got him checked out. This time we got the worst possible outcome, Decompensated Chronic Liver Disease.

The diagnosis left my husband, Dilip Rao Kavithiya, and I were left in the dark and unsure about what to do next. The doctors at Wockhardt Hospital warned us about our son’s condition and also specified that without a liver transplant, our son’s life would be in danger. When the doctors told us it would take a year or two to get a donor, I volunteered to donate without any hesitation.

My husband works as daily-wage labor and I work as a vegetable vendor. Neither of us can even imagine affording the treatment which will cost 19 lakh 50 thousand. Even now, I manage to run the household with rations given by my neighbors.

Even my son’s school teacher gave me 25 thousand rupees to use for his treatment. Despite getting some help, it’s not nearly enough to get my son’s treatment started. In the meantime, my son is not able to walk because of the swelling in his stomach and legs.

Which is why I am appealing to the people reading this. Please donate as much as you can so I can help my son grow up normally and lead a happy life.
