31-year-old Giddi Vinod never imagined that one evening walk home from work would change his family’s life forever. Vinod, a farmer from a humble family, was returning home after work when a tractor suddenly hit him from behind in a devastating accident. Within moments, the life he had built with his wife and 3-year-old son came crashing down.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. What followed was a nightmare for the family. Vinod suffered severe injuries to both his legs and hands. Doctors had to perform multiple emergency surgeries to save him. But complications soon followed. His wounds became badly infected, stitches burst open, and his condition worsened rapidly.

At one point, doctors gave the family a heartbreaking choice: “Do you want the leg… or his life?” His wife, Lata, was shattered. The couple had married for love 6 years ago and built their life together through hard work and sacrifice. Vinod was the sole support for the family — caring not only for his wife and young son, but also for his elderly parents. Despite their fear, the family chose to fight for his life.

Vinod was later shifted to KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad, where doctors are now trying to save his leg through advanced treatment and multiple surgeries. So far, he has already undergone 4 surgeries. But his battle is far from over. Doctors have warned that if the next stages of treatment are delayed, the infection may spread again and leg amputation could become unavoidable. The estimated cost for his remaining treatment and surgeries is around ₹16 lakhs — an amount impossible for this struggling family to afford.

Vinod earns barely ₹300 a day as a farmer. His wife works as a tailor and earns around ₹4,000 a month. In these past weeks, the family has already exhausted their savings, borrowed heavily from relatives and friends, sold gold, and taken loans just to keep his treatment going. Now, they have nothing left. Meanwhile, their 3-year-old son keeps asking: “When will papa come home?”

Vinod dreams of only one thing — walking again and returning to his family. “I want to live for my wife and my son,” he says from his hospital bed. Today, this family urgently needs your support. Your contribution can help Vinod continue his treatment, avoid leg amputation, and give him a chance to stand beside his family again.
Please donate generously and share his story.
