#1 (07 Aug, 2026) - From Soumya Chakraborty Dear Donors,
Soumya continues to battle the long-term effects of a severe spinal cord injury along with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a chronic autoimmune condition affecting his spine and mobility. These conditions have significantly impacted his daily life, causing pain, stiffness, muscle weakness, and functional limitations.
Under medical supervision, Soumya is currently receiving regular physiotherapy sessions and monthly Scapho (biologic) injections to manage inflammation, preserve mobility, and prevent further deterioration. While the journey has been challenging, there has been gradual improvement in his condition, and continued treatment remains crucial to sustaining this progress.
Doctors have advised that rehabilitation and biologic therapy must continue consistently over the coming months to maximize recovery, maintain independence, and improve his quality of life. Any interruption in treatment could result in setbacks and worsening disability.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters, over 90% of the fundraising goal has already been achieved. Soumya is now in the final phase of his fundraiser, with only the remaining amount needed to secure the continuation of his treatment and rehabilitation.
Your support at this critical stage can help him complete his treatment plan, continue his recovery journey, and move closer to a more independent future.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and healing. Thank you for standing with Soumya in his fight to reclaim his life.
