I am a lonely tailor living in the silent village of Dharwad (Karnataka). The last few years of my life has taken away everything from me, and now it threatens to take away my only hope, my last loved one, the only family I have - my wife.

We were a happy family of 4, a few years back. Our misfortunes started when my 2-year-old daughter caught chicken pox. While it wasn’t a problem, she developed a fatal infection which ultimately took her life.
We hadn’t even coped with her loss yet, when my 16-year-old son drowned in a pool of water on his school picnic. Veena and I struggled for years to get over the loss of our children.
We were each other’s strength during this tough time. We held each other and cried each time we thought of our deceased children. We had almost lost the will to live, but we went on, assuring ourselves that we at least had each other.
But 3 months ago, my wife started vomiting blood. I took her to a nearby hospital where she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
The hospital lacked facilities to treat her and I had to take her to Bangalore. I had no money to admit her to another hospital. As a last resort, I had to sell her Mangalsutra.
I have spent Rs. 4.5 lakhs on her treatment so far. But, instead of recovering, her cancer has spread to her liver and her brain. She needs further tests and chemotherapy to stop the cancer. However, I have nothing left to pay for her treatment.
I have already lost everything and everyone I’ve loved. My wife is my last hope to live, she is my future and all I have. I cannot lose her. Please contribute whatever you can to help, even a small donation can be of huge help to me.

You can also share our story with others who can help. Your support will be a blessing for us!
Thank you,
Kantesh Jadhav
