I have never seen my father as fragile as he is today. A man of his word, full of wisdom and strong willpower, he has always been my greatest inspiration. Whenever people said, “You are just like your dad,” I always took it with pride, because ultimately, I have always wanted to be like him.
My name is Rishabh Rastogi. In July, my father, Ghanshyam Rastogi, was diagnosed with pneumonia. Within just a few days, his condition worsened drastically. The infection spread to his lungs, and he was soon diagnosed with ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome), which later progressed severely.
For the past 18 days, he has been on ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) support at Apollo Medics Hospital, Lucknow, a treatment used only in the most critical cases. Despite all medical efforts, there has been no significant improvement in his health.
Now, the doctors have informed us that the only remaining option to save his life is a lung transplant. They have referred us to Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad, where the surgery can be performed. After consultation, the hospital has given us an estimated cost of many lakhs, which includes:
- Airlifting him from Lucknow to Hyderabad under critical care
- The lung transplant surgery
- ICU stay, medications, and post-operative care

I just wish I had enough money to cover these expenses for my father’s treatment. Today, I write this message with the hope that with your support, we can give him a chance to heal and live.

How you can help:
- Donate to Ghanshyam’s treatment on ImpactGuru
- Share his story with your friends, family, and on social media to gather more support
