Saba, Mohan, Harsh and few others, with the name "Pankh foundation" are really doing a great job of volunteering by teaching these underprivileged children and trying their best at making them independent.
Every alternate weekday and Saturdays -Sundays, they go under Hosaria Bridge, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow and teach 70 children.
Their main focus is on having activity based learning, inculcating good habits, good manners, cleanliness and teaching basic subjects.
When these children progress on reading, learning and writing, they try and get them admitted in schools.
These volunteers provide the children with good food and study materials to the extent they can. However, many times they face a shortage.
They need funds to continue their work.
There is a continuous shortage of stationery and this affects their effort of making these children literate.
We all want to, at least, wish to make a difference in the world. But, we do nothing. THEY ARE.
Until a few days back, after knowing this story, I was still not sure if I could do anything. But now, I am.
Not completely, but to some extent I, we, can help them. They are in acute shortage of stationery.
Your Rs. 100/- would help them have few more pencils.
(We normally spend this amount daily on something we don't even remember)
Your Rs.500/- would help them have few more books.
(Can you miss this weekend movie for them ? )
Your Rs. 1000/- will help them continue writing for next one month.
( You spend 4 times of this for your club parties right ? )
Please help me help them!
