When I was growing up, my mother was everything to us.
After losing my father at just 31, she didn't have the luxury of falling apart. She became both parents overnight, raising three daughters with courage, sacrifice, and endless love. She put our dreams before her own and never once complained about how difficult life had become.
Today, I am watching the strongest person I know fight the biggest battle of her life.
For months, my mother faced breathlessness. Then came unbearable pain on the right side of her body, sleepless nights, and worsening difficulty in breathing. We went from one doctor to another. Instead, every test brought more fear until a biopsy at Ruby Hall Clinic confirmed the diagnosis, Stage 3 lung adenocarcinoma.
Cancer has taken away her appetite, caused severe nausea, weight loss, and constant weakness. Yet every morning she gathers the strength to smile at us because she refuses to let us lose hope.
Her treatment has started with a targeted therapy called Tagrisso, a medicine designed specifically for her form of cancer. It is giving us hope, but it comes at a huge cost. She needs one tablet every day, and just ten tablets cost ₹1.17 lakh. Her doctors have advised that she continue this treatment for at least a year, with regular follow-ups to monitor her progress.

We have already spent over ₹5.5 lakh, using our savings and my salary. But the expenses continue to grow, and I have reached a point where I cannot do this alone.
My mother simply wants to watch her grandchildren grow, see her daughter get married someday, travel to places she never had the chance to visit, and enjoy the peaceful life she spent decades sacrificing for us.
She spent her entire life making sure her daughters never felt alone. Today, I am asking you to stand beside her.
