“When my daughter was diagnosed with cancer, my world stood still. But her courage kept us moving forward.”
Sunita is only twenty-five years old, but she has already faced battles no one should ever have to face. We traveled all the way from Nepal to India, hoping to find the best treatment for her blood cancer. From the moment she was diagnosed in June 2023, Sunita’s strength amazed us. Despite everything, she refused to give up even finishing her BBA studies while fighting the disease. Her determination inspired everyone around her.
In September 2023, she underwent a bone marrow transplant at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, with her sister Gayatri generously serving as the donor. We all hoped this would mark the end of her fight with cancer. For a while, it seemed like she was winning. She showed signs of recovery and gave us hope for a brighter future. But in March 2025, our world shattered again when we learned the cancer had returned. The news was devastating, but Sunita stayed brave and never lost hope.
About a month and a half ago, she began immunotherapy through CAR T cell treatment. Unfortunately, this powerful therapy brought complications, and she developed a severe infection. Right now, she is in the hospital receiving treatment for lung-related issues. She is surrounded by doctors and nurses who are working tirelessly to help her heal.
We live in a small rented room close to the hospital so we can be near her every moment. As her mother, watching her suffer is the hardest thing I have ever experienced. Yet, Sunita remains hopeful and strong. She smiles sometimes and talks about her dreams of cooking and living a happy, healthy life. Despite everything, she is still bright, full of life, and inspiring.
Our family holds tightly to hope. We believe with the right treatment and support, Sunita can overcome this battle too. I am asking for help to save my daughter because she deserves to live and fulfill all her dreams. Please help us give Sunita a chance to fight and heal.

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support.
