The lockdown extension will worsen their situation. As India goes into a 21-day nationwide lockdown in order to contain the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus infection, the poor and homeless are likely to face consequences for basic survival.
The homeless will be supported with Cooked Food and Sanitary kit who are living in Ambattur , Vadapalani , Koyambedu ,Padi , Mugaparu ,Villivakkam , Kilpakkam of Chennai corporation of Tamil Nadu, India.
Homeless more worried about food than COVID-19 . We feel that as human beings, it's our responsibility to help the most vulnerable amongst us in their time of need. Most of homeless are gypsy families, elderly person abended by their family , lorry drivers, transgenders , etc. They are living under the fly over without proper shelter.
Homeless are hardly aware of the dangers of Coronavirus and the solutions available to fight against it. The current Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak continues to spread, with growing numbers of confirmed cases in India. This makes lakhs of homeless living on the streets with lack of ability to self- quarantine, food , access to medical care acutely vulnerable.
