The thought of seeing your 7-month-old go through one chemotherapy session after another is horrifying.
My name is Samik Dutta. On 3rd February 2025, I held my daughter, Snehasree, in my arms for the very first time. I had never seen such a tiny miracle before. That day, as I looked into her eyes, I promised to keep my baby safe.
Today, I am reaching out to you — not just as a father, but as a father full of hope.
Snehasree has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia, a severe form of blood cancer.
What is acute leukaemia?
It is a fast-progressing cancer of the blood and bone marrow, where immature blood cells (blasts) multiply uncontrollably and fail to function properly.
It all began on 17th July. Our little girl has been receiving chemotherapy at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata. We have already exhausted our savings, taken loans, and taken some help from friends and relatives, but the cost of her treatment runs into several lakhs, and we are struggling to manage the cost. My baby urgently needs your help, and I believe that with your support, she has a chance at full recovery.
