Fundraiser Story –Greeting from Birendra kumar Tripathi , Chairman Samridhi Charitable Trust, Ranchi, Jharkhand which is a Non Profit Organization founded in the year 2006 and is dedicated to social-economic transformation of rural and remote areas of India, especially the weaker and socially underprivileged groups, through physical, social, cultural and economic development of rural people, groups and institutions. The trust was established with a view of social welfare in the various parts of Jharkhand in the field of education, health, chronic disease, sanitation, training, providing financial help to the needy people in an around Jharkhand.
It has been more than a decade since our trust has served the community in different areas like: medical Assistance for needy people, arranging for free medical treatment for patients, distribution of books and stationery to the poor children of the society, distribution of blankets to the road side beggars, helping the deserving candidates for further studies and courses of lower income group people etc. Starting from February 2017, our trust Samridhi Charitable Trust is extending free ambulance service to transport poor and indigent patients to District / General Hospitals, Medical college Hospitals and back to home from respective hospitals and Hearse Van for transferring of Dead Body.
We at Samridhi believe that help should not be differentiated and with the same motive we rescue, feed, provide necessary veterinary care, maintain the shelter, and fight for the animals.
We have helped more than 500 poor and needy children by providing them financial support for education, distribution of books, sports equipments and stationary for free so that they can become successful in life.
We have organized various medical, blood donation camps for the poor people and provided financial aid for medical emergencies for more than 600 people.
Till date we have transferred 12000 dead bodies from hospital to their particular locations irrespective of the distance. Our Ambulance runs 24/7 to help the poor and needy people even during this current prevailing situation of COVID 19 by putting our life in danger although we do not have any PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) Kit.
The trust has been established with my own efforts with a dedication to help the poor and the needy and is running till date voluntarily by myself without any help. The situation is such that due to lack of drivers I myself have been driving the ambulance and transferring patients and dead bodies But since the need has increased I m looking forward for your support in continuing to help the needy people during this pandemic situation.
Our participation during this COVID 19
Providing Free Ambulance and Hearse Van Service to the poor and needy people all over Jharkhand, Distributing food to the poor people, Transferring migrant workers. Recently an incident happened wherein bunch of children around 24 kids who were ill (mentally challenged) and used to live in a mother Teresa shelter home in dhanbad , Jharkhand. Their essential medicine could not reach to them. Nobody succeeded in helping them as it was all during lockdown. Few kids among them were detoriating seeing this, I arranged all medicines, and it took me 2 days to do that as it was not available easily and went to their shelter home Dhanbad from Ranchi to deliver medicines.
