8 years old, and already a warrior.

Samarth doesn't know how to give up. He never learned how.

A year ago, his family's world turned upside down when doctors delivered news no parent should ever have to hear, their little boy had a brain tumour. In the months that followed, Samarth endured 35 rounds of radiation, each session a quiet battle fought inside a machine far too big for such a small body. He sat through every single one.

When the tumour began causing fluid to build up inside his brain, doctors had to step in again. In December 2025, Samarth went under the knife for surgery to place a tiny tube inside his skull, a shunt, to drain the dangerous fluid that was pressing against his brain. His mother held his hand before they wheeled him in, and she was waiting right there when he came out.

But the hardships didn't stop there. Just ten days ago, when his body could no longer absorb food the way it should, doctors made an opening directly into his small intestine so that nutrition could reach him another way. He cannot eat the way other children do. No birthday cake. No favourite snacks. Just carefully measured liquid, fed to him through a tube, one slow drop at a time.

And yet, if you walked into DY Patil hospital ward today, you might not immediately know which child had been through all of this. Because Samarth still smiles. Quietly, but genuinely.

His parents sit beside him in the general ward, watching him with a kind of love that has been stretched and tested and pressed until it became something stronger than most people will ever know.

Samarth is not asking for sympathy. He is asking, without words, for a chance, a chance to finish this fight, to go home, to simply be a child again.

He has already shown the world how brave he is.

Now he needs the world to show up for him.

Should I wait for an organ donor before starting a fundraiser?

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.

How can I track the impact of my donation?

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.

Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.

Whose account will the funds be transferred to?

For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.

In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.

Does Impact Guru help in promoting campaigns?

90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
