I am Rishidas’s mother, and every day I watch my little boy smile without knowing how fragile his life truly is.

Rishidas is only 8 years old. He studies in the 3rd standard, loves drawing, and fills our home with colors and laughter. When he holds his crayons, he forgets everything else, hospital rooms, needles, and pain. To the world, he looks like any other child. But inside his body, a silent battle has been going on since he was just one year old.
That was when we first learned he had Thalassemia. He had a high fever and very low blood counts. Since then, blood transfusions have become a part of his life, every 20 days, without fail. Without them, he cannot survive. Yet he never complains. He sits quietly during transfusions, brave beyond his years, trusting us completely.
Doctors have told us that the only curative treatment for Rishidas is a Bone Marrow Transplant. His little sister, only 2.5 years old, is a suitable donor. As a mother, I feel hope and fear at the same time. I hope that this transplant can give my son a normal life, and fear because we simply do not have the means.
What breaks my heart the most is that he doesn’t know. He doesn’t know that without proper treatment, he may not even survive. He doesn’t know that every transfusion is temporary, and that time is slowly running out. He just believes his mother when she says, “Everything will be okay.”
My husband works at a marble and steel shop. I am a homemaker. After years of hospital visits and transfusions, we are exhausted, emotionally and financially.
Rishidas is strong. He is innocent. He still believes the world is kind. I am asking for help so that his innocence is protected and his life is saved.
Please help my child live.

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.
Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support.
