My name is Elsa DSilva and I am raising funds for Red Dot Foundation (Safecity) which is working to make public spaces safer for women and girls through crowdsourced data, community engagement and institutional accountability.

We have a crowdmap where women and girls can anonymously share their reports. The data is collated as location based trends & visualised as hotspots and made available in the public domain for individuals & communities to use. Using the data, one can make better choices for one's safety, mobilise one's community & hold institutional service providers like police, municipal authorities, accountable in doing a better job.

The funds will be used to conduct

10 awareness workshops in communities to educate at least 500 youth on the spectrum of abuse and their legal rights.

10 Safety audits in Mumbai which will input an Urban Planning Primer that will inform citizens on best practices for safe public spaces.

We are grateful for your help!
