Why should you help?

The Queen Mary's Technical Institute (QMTI) was founded by Lady Marie Willingdon; wife of the then Governor of Bombay Province on 16 May 1917 at Mumbai. Institute was later shifted in 1922 to a better and spacious location, at Khadki – Pune, Maharashtra.

The Institute trains Differently Abled Ex-Servicemen those rendered unfit for Service in the Armed Forces due to medical reasons and those in Service who are under prolonged Medical Treatment for severe disability in befitting vocational trades. Later help is rendered to them in their rehabilitation.

Admission is also given to the dependents of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen, in that priority, but only for the left-over vacancies.

QMTI is the only institute of its kind in our Country today.

As the institute is celebrating its Centenary, an initiative, “Hrunn Ab Hamari Jimmedari” is been launched by Redefine Concepts in association with QMTI to raise funds so that the institute can cater better training course and infrastructure for the rehabilitation of disabled soldiers for next 100 years to come

On the occasion of the centenary year, QMTI targets to spread its wings in order to grow qualitatively and quantitatively to make the soldiers more equipped and empowered to cater a maximum number of disabled as well as retired able-bodied soldiers. Currently, it can cater 250 disabled soldiers for the training courses, it is desired to extend the capacity, grow in terms of better training infrastructure, better administrative facilities like hostel accommodation and to develop better academic environment.

Be the proud Responsible Indian and take a step forward to support "DISABLED SOLDIERS" of Indian Armed Forces because now it's our turn to pay off!
