We are the parents of Pasiliti Dhanush, our 8-month-old baby boy who is fighting for his life. After 7 years of marriage and one heartbreaking miscarriage, Dhanush is our first child – our world. But just 15 days after his birth, our joy turned to fear when we found out he has Congenital Heart Disease.
Doctors said he had a hole in his heart, and he needed surgery urgently. A stent was placed in his heart to help blood flow, but now he needs a major operation called the BD Glenn surgery at Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute to survive. This surgery helps babies like ours who have a heart that doesn’t work the right way. Without it, Dhanush’s life is at risk
Right now, Dhanush is in the ICU, unconscious for the past 2 days. Watching him like this is breaking us from the inside, but we are not giving up.
We live 200 km away from the hospital. I (his father) work as a painter, earning just Rs. 700 a day, and my wife stays at home to take care of Dhanush. We have no savings left. No income certificate. Nothing to sell. We are completely helpless.
Please help us give our son the life he deserves. Every rupee you donate will go directly toward his surgery, medicines, and hospital stay. Dhanush is just a baby — he hasn’t even seen the world yet. Your kindness can give him a chance to grow up, smile, and live a full life.

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.
Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support. Impact Guru provides fundraising support in such cases by maximizing outreach, leveraging all fundraising channels. In order to provide crucial life saving support to such patients, Impact Guru charges marketing cost paid to such third parties and its regular platform and payment gateway fees. Impact Guru's constant endeavour is to reduce such outreach costs to maximize social impact of every contribution.
