She is 6 y/o. She was supposed to be in school.

Just days ago, Pari Morya had a fever, the kind every parent has seen a hundred times. She was still on her feet, still walking around the house. Her mother didn't panic. Her father, a vegetable seller who walks the streets of Mumbai each morning to earn ₹500 for the day, had no reason to fear the worst.

But the worst came anyway.

Pari is now in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, unconscious, with a machine breathing for her. The doctors call it Septic Shock, an infection that spread silently through her blood and began shutting down her organs, one by one. Her little body, which had been walking and laughing just days ago, is now in a battle it cannot fight alone.

Pari needs intensive care at Bharati Hospital to have a chance at coming home.

Her father leaves home before sunrise every day to sell vegetables on the street. Some days are good. Most days, ₹500 is all there is enough for meals, enough for rent, barely enough. There are no savings. There is no backup plan. There is only the desperate, quiet hope of a father who has no power over what is happening inside that hospital room.

Her mother sits somewhere nearby, waiting. Her 3-year-old brother doesn't fully understand why his sister isn't home. Pari is in Class 1. She had just begun learning to read.

Pari is fighting. Her parents are fighting. But they cannot do it alone. They need your help!

Should I wait for an organ donor before starting a fundraiser?

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.

How can I track the impact of my donation?

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.

Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.

Whose account will the funds be transferred to?

For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.

In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.

Does Impact Guru help in promoting campaigns?

90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.

The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support. Impact Guru provides fundraising support in such cases by maximizing outreach, leveraging all fundraising channels. In order to provide crucial life saving support to such patients, Impact Guru charges marketing cost paid to such third parties and its regular platform and payment gateway fees. Impact Guru's constant endeavour is to reduce such outreach costs to maximize social impact of every contribution.
