At 19, he was supposed to be chasing dreams, not fighting for his life.

Akash had plans. Big ones. A business degree in one hand, a future business in the other. But four months ago, everything stopped.
What started as a stubborn cough and breathlessness turned into a diagnosis that shook his family to the core: a blood cancer.
Akash's mother gets up every morning and walks to a factory, where she tightens screws for 10 hours to bring home ₹10,000 a month. That money was supposed to feed the family, support Akash's education, and help his 22-year-old sister while she searched for her first job. Today, that same ₹10,000 is all that stands between Akash and his treatment.

In the last four months alone, Akash has sat through 6 rounds of chemotherapy, a treatment so brutal, it breaks the body down before it can build it back up. He has needed 12 blood and platelet transfusions, because cancer doesn't just attack quietly; it drains life, drop by drop. He hasn't needed surgery, but the battle he is fighting every single day in that hospital ward is one most of us will never fully understand.
Through the IV lines and the exhaustion and the days when his body felt like it was giving up, Akash held onto one thought, the small business he wants to build someday. That dream is the only thing that hasn't changed since the diagnosis.

His mother doesn't complain. She never does. She carries the weight of a sick child, a household, and a heart full of fear, all while standing on a factory floor, doing the same motion, hour after hour, praying that her wages stretch far enough. His sister, degree in hand and no job yet, watches helplessly, wishing she could do more.
Akash is 19. He is still in the ward of Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital, still undergoing chemotherapy, still fighting. He doesn't ask for much. He just wants a chance, a chance to finish his degree, to get better, to one day build something of his own.

His mother has already given everything she has.
Now, he needs your help to keep going.

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
