It is a tough time for Maharashtra. The state is facing the worst drought in the last 100 years. With the temperatures soaring and the water decreasing, survival has become a challenge. While many are trying to do their bit, we stumbled upon the humble yet noble efforts of the Maharashtra Tank Lorry Owner's Association (MTLOA) who are striving to help by transporting free water to the parched villages.
With the help of the Khalsa Aid organisation, they have till now been able to send up to 20 tankers of 6000 litres of water each (200 litres is distributed to each family) to the villages from a water source that is around 25-30 kms away almost each day.
They are providing and transporting this water for absolutely no cost. But, due to lack of proper funds (to cover water costs, diesel costs etc) they haven't been able to help to their maximum.
All three of us, from different states, are trying to help their efforts through raising funds for them. Your contribution can help them continue their good work and help those in need.
Please contribute to your fullest capacity and help us support these change-makers who are selflessly helping those in need.
