I still can’t process how one normal day turned into this. My brother Meet was just coming back home from college, and then one phone call changed everything. They said he fell from a moving train at Andheri. When I saw him in the hospital, he didn’t look like the same person. His head was badly injured, and doctors had to rush him for brain surgery to control the swelling and remove a blood clot.
Those hours felt endless. Even now, he hasn’t opened his eyes yet, but I hold onto every small sign, the way his fingers move, the slight movement in his legs, his lips trying to say something. He’s breathing on his own now, and the doctors say the swelling has reduced, but he still has a long way to go.
They’ve shifted him to rehabilitation, and the next 2–3 months are critical. Every single day, he needs constant care, different therapies, and strong medication just to help his body remember how to function again.
