Santosh Shintre-a microbiologist, environmental journalist and a writer in Marathi. He wants to create’ Lekhnanmitra-pratyek lihitya haatacha’-which is a dictionary and a style guide in Marathi and English useful as follows.
‘Nonfictional , official, applied and formal written communications in the fields of governance, CSR, social work, finance, media, law, Environment, medicine, basic sciences, agriculture often require formal writing and exact usage/options for words interchangeably in Marathi and English. The Internet is not exact In translations or offering the xact alternative of words in these fields.’
So Santosh wants to create a handy volume in print which satisfies all these bilingual needs for which he is raising money.
The money will be used for printing this volume on 1/8th demi size paper-512 pages.
Santosh wants to publish it on his own rather than giving it to publishers. He has worked on its content for 3 years. The conduct, business practices, and treatment are given to writers by Marathi publishers is very bad. Many time authors are cheated. Pre-printing, printing, and post-printing expenses to create this book are Rs.4,00,000=00.So he is raising it, as individually he cannot invest it.
