Mannat is our first child after five years of waiting and praying. She came into our world like a blessing. But soon after her birth, we noticed something was not right. Her head was growing abnormally, and she would cry a lot. After many hospital visits, doctors told us she has Congenital Hydrocephalus, a condition where extra fluid builds up in the brain.
Our world changed completely.
In December 2023, Mannat had her first brain surgery in a government hospital. It was the hardest time of our lives. Seeing our tiny baby go through so much pain broke our hearts. She is still recovering in the normal ward, but the treatment is not over yet.
Doctors at Ganesh Hospital have told us that Mannat now needs another neurosurgery followed by a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt, which will help drain the extra fluid and relieve pressure from her brain. This surgery is very important to save her life and help her grow normally.
My husband works as a driver and earns just Rs. 450 a day. I am a housewife. We are doing everything we can, but the cost of surgery and care is far beyond what we can afford.
As a mother, I just want to see my daughter smile, play, and live a normal life. I request you with folded hands—please help us give Mannat a chance to live. Your support, no matter how small, can bring back hope into our lives.
