Manjunath is only five years old, yet his life has already been filled with hospital visits, needles, and uncertainty. A few months ago, his parents noticed persistent fever and dangerously low blood counts. After multiple tests, the diagnosis shattered their world, Thalassemia Major, a lifelong blood disorder that requires frequent transfusions to survive.

Since the diagnosis, Manjunath has undergone nearly fifteen blood transfusions in just three months. Each transfusion helps him live a little longer, but none can cure him. Doctors have made it clear that these transfusions are only temporary support. Without a permanent solution, his condition will continue to worsen.

What makes his struggle even more heartbreaking is that this is not his first battle with medical trauma. When Manjunath was only fifteen days old, he had to undergo spine surgery. Even before he could open his eyes to the world, his body had already endured pain. Today, he remains weak and exhausted, spending most of his days at home instead of playing like other children his age.

Manjunath’s father is physically handicapped and unable to work. Despite his own limitations, he stands strong for his son, fighting a battle far bigger than himself. His mother works as a helper in a private company, earning just ₹10,000 per month. This income barely manages the household, including Manjunath’s three-year-old sister. Medical expenses have completely drained their savings, leaving them with no financial backup.

Doctors have confirmed that only a Bone Marrow Transplant can save Manjunath’s life. An unrelated donor has already been found, offering a rare chance at survival. However, the cost of the transplant is far beyond what this family can afford. Every delay puts Manjunath at greater risk, as his young body grows weaker with each passing day.

This family is not asking for luxury or comfort. They are asking for a chance to save their child. Your contribution can give Manjunath a future, a life free from transfusions, pain, and fear.
Please help save Manjunath before time runs out.

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.
Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support. Impact Guru provides fundraising support in such cases by maximizing outreach, leveraging all fundraising channels. In order to provide crucial life saving support to such patients, Impact Guru charges marketing cost paid to such third parties and its regular platform and payment gateway fees. Impact Guru's constant endeavour is to reduce such outreach costs to maximize social impact of every contribution.
