Karmyo Foundation provides Entrepreneurship Education to Secondary School students from Government and low-income private schools, helping them develop essential Life-skills.
Why Entrepreneurship education for children?
Imagine that 2 people appear for a job interview. One of them has studied from a high-income, international school and the other from a Govt. school. Both are the same in terms of academic performance. Who do you think is most likely to get the job? We all know the answer.
We can all agree that the gap is not in terms of academics, but the level of life-skills and exposure both the individuals have received in their school-life.
With the rapid technological advancements Life-skills, such as Problem Solving, Teamwork, Decision Making, Managing Failures, Communication have become much more important than ever.
Thus the skills have now become a necessity to compete in the current scenarios (decrease in the number of Jobs, Loss of livelihood due to the current pandemic, technological advancements). The National Education Policy, 2020 has also finally acknowledged the importance of practical and experiential learning.
What do we do?
Karmyo Foundation aims to develop life skills among low income/Govt. secondary school students through an online platform. We provide various courses and opportunities to students that are self-paced, experiential, and playful.
To kick off their association with us we start with a one-month long Entrepreneurship Tinkering Program which is delivered by trained fellows. After the completion of the program, the students become a part of our online community where we engage them through various projects and opportunities, for 1 year.
