“Every 15 days, Chandra Pal watches his sons’ lives depend on blood that isn't their own.”

The line above symbolises how every 15 days, Chandra Pal’s boys have no option but to undergo a blood transfusion. Kunj is 8. Moksh is 4. Both brothers share more than just their parents’ eyes and their sister's toys, they share a battle against Thalassemia Major, a blood disorder that has turned their childhood into a cycle of hospital visits. When Kunj was just 6 months old, Chandra Pal (Dad) and Jivika’s (Mom) world shattered. The diagnosis came like a thunderclap: Thalassemia Major. Their baby couldn't produce healthy blood on his own. Then, years later, Moksh, their youngest, received the same devastating diagnosis at 6 months. 2 sons. The same fate.

Every fortnight, the routine repeats. Chandra Pal closes his small honey-extracting work early, gathers his boys, and heads to the hospital. The transfusions keep them alive, but barely. Kunj, who wants to run with friends in the 2nd standard, gets tired easily. Moksh, just learning his ABCs in LKG, knows hospitals better than playgrounds. Their 11-year-old sister watches her brothers suffer.

Jivika holds her sons each night, wondering how many more transfusions their small bodies can endure. She knows what the doctors have told them: without a bone marrow transplant, the iron from repeated transfusions will destroy their hearts, their livers, their futures. The worst part? A donor has been found. An unrelated donor who could save both her boys. Hope exists, just beyond reach. The transplant costs lakhs. Chandra Pal works as a humble worker who extracts honey. He has tried everything but nothing worked.

“I just want them to live a healthy life,” Chandra Pal says, with a breaking voice. “I want Kunj to play cricket without getting tired. I want Moksh to grow up and go to school like other children. I want to see them become men, not just... survive.” At Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, doctors wait. The donor waits. Time, however, doesn't. Every transfusion that keeps his sons alive also brings them closer to irreversible damage.

Chandra Pal cannot do this alone. But he doesn’t have to. You can help give Kunj and Moksh the chance their father dreams of every single night - the chance to simply live.

This campaign for a single patient can be converted into a multi-patient campaign, subject to the performance of this campaign. Once the funding requirement of a specific patient is met, multiple other beneficiaries can be helped through Impact Guru.

Dear Donors,

Kunj and Moksh Rathor’s condition has shown slight improvement, however doctors have advised a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). They require blood transfusions every 15 days, which is essential for their treatment. Due to the high cost of ongoing care, there is an urgent need for financial support. We humbly request your help and support so that their treatment can continue without interruption.
