Project Pardesi Pups
Early this year KAW was on the brink of shutting down, and what saved us was a huge outpouring of support from the public. Months later, we are going strong and giving the 120 dogs in our care our best efforts, but now have hit yet another roadblock.
Due to the restrictions in place to tackle Covid19, our international rehoming program has come to a complete standstill. We have 42 dogs waiting to fly to their forever homes, and no means to get them to our rehoming partners abroad.
Despite having posted for so many dogs adoption since May, only two adoptions have worked out. If our dogs don't find their forever homes soon, we will not be able to accept new cases due to being over capacity. Our shelter is already completely full and we have very few people coming forward to foster.
Our mission will always be to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome, and in order to fulfill the final step of our mission, we need your help!
We are planning to send two flight volunteers to USA and flying at least 20 dogs waiting for past couple months to reach their home.
Our rough cost estimates bring the final fundraising goal for this endeavour to 12 lakh rupees.
#projectpardesipups is the name of our campaign, and with your help and generosity we hope to provide at least 20 dogs with their perfect forever homes.
Do remember that although this comes to 60,000 rupees per dog, that amount is significantly less than the cost of caring for a dog at a shelter for its entire lifetime. Also, by getting these dogs adopted KAW is able to take in more dogs and therefore save more lives!
We are grateful for your help!
