Every parent fears watching their child in pain. But for the parents of one-year-old Gulam Husain, pain has become a daily companion, an unwanted shadow they cannot escape. Gulam was barely a month old when his family discovered something was terribly wrong. Even the smallest bruise, the slightest bump, the tiniest injury would make him bleed endlessly. Nothing would stop. Nothing would heal.

Soon, doctors revealed the truth: Glanzmann Thrombasthenia, an extremely rare, inherited disorder where platelets fail to clot blood. It affects fewer than one in 100,000 people. For this little boy, it means a life where a simple fall, a nosebleed, even a small scratch can turn into a medical emergency.

Since birth, Gulam has undergone 5 blood transfusions and 8 platelet transfusions just to stay alive. Four months ago, he required laser surgery due to kidney swelling. His tiny body has suffered more than many adults do in a lifetime. But the deepest wound lies in this family’s past. They have already buried two children. A three-year-old son who died in 2023 due to the same condition. A newborn daughter who survived just four days in 2022. Two losses… two funerals… two graves no parent should ever stand beside. And now, Gulam is their only surviving child.

Doctors say a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) is his only chance to live a normal life. His father is a 50%-match donor, ready to give whatever it takes to save his son. But with a monthly income of just ₹15,000 as a driver, affording BMT is impossible. The family in Mumbra has exhausted all their savings just keeping their child alive until now. They fear every passing day. Every small injury. Every sudden bleed. They fear losing their last child.

Your support can stop their nightmare from repeating. Your help can give Gulam the future his siblings never got. Please, help save this little life before time runs out.

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.
Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support. Impact Guru provides fundraising support in such cases by maximizing outreach, leveraging all fundraising channels. In order to provide crucial life saving support to such patients, Impact Guru charges marketing cost paid to such third parties and its regular platform and payment gateway fees. Impact Guru's constant endeavour is to reduce such outreach costs to maximize social impact of every contribution.
