Laali is a very poor and unfortunate soul from Madagascar, her journey to India started around 7 years back, when she came for a Kidney transplant, that time funded by her Consulate in Mumbai, but failed as she suffered from Pneumonia soon after the operation, she had no option but to continue staying in Mumbai, she was adopted by a Church in Powai, Mumbai.
She is being supported by the local parishioners of the Church and lives in a shanty, working as a servant in one of the households to support herself and her Sister has has also come to Mumbai around 2 years back as she has consented to be her donor for her second Kidney Transplant , she has NO funds at all, moreover her Visa renewal process has been held up, the Foreign Office (Visa section) have put a Condition that unless she sorts out her "Medical condition" and gets an undertaking from a Hospital, only then can they process her Visa renewal together with her sisters.
She currently undergoes Dialysis thrice weekly with the support of well-wishers and Charity.
Doctors have informed her that her only hope of survival is Kidney Transplant at the earliest as she is suffering with advanced stage of Chronic Kidney disease stage 5.
The money required for her surgery beyond her reach. Her condition is getting worse day by day, every donation made towards her cause will save her life and may be her only ray of hope for survival.
