From the moment we heard our baby girl’s heartbeat, we dreamed of bringing her home and watching her grow up. But her fight for life began much before she was even ready to enter this world!
Our daughter was born at just 26 weeks through an emergency C-section. She weighed less than one kilogram and was rushed straight to the NICU before we could even hold her in our arms.
Since that day, every milestone has felt like a miracle. We celebrate every gram she gains, every successful feed, every stable heartbeat, and every small step forward. Although she has now crossed the one-kilogram mark and is slowly improving, she still depends on respiratory support, specialised treatment, and constant monitoring to survive the days as they come.
As parents living away from our families, this journey has been incredibly difficult. We have exhausted our savings, relied on credit, and continue to do everything possible to keep our little one’s treatment going.
Because we are not eligible for local healthcare subsidies, every single day in the NICU adds to the burden we are struggling to carry.
