#1 (23 Feb, 2021) Dear Donors
We’re back with another update for Deshraj Ji. He is on cloud nine as has a smile that has been possible only with your help. Impact Guru has transferred Rs 2.5 lakh to Deshraj Ji’s account right now so that his and the family’s survival can be taken care of.
Currently, his grandkids are studying in local schools. Once the new academic year starts, they will be able to take admission in better private schools and their required tuition fees will be sent directly to the institutions. To slightly reduce the hassles of their lives, his grand daughter’s fees for her B.Ed course will also be transferred to her college account.
Deshraj Ji never thought that it would be possible for his grandkids to go to a school, a private school being a distant dream. He says that he’s going to tell all of them the story of how random strangers on the internet joined hands to give them a good education and that one day when they are on their own feet, they return the favor to the community.
No amount of thanks will suffice for your outpour of love and support. However, we still thank you again for you have been the true hero for someone in need.
#2 (19 Feb, 2021) Dear Donors
Once again, Deshraj Ji and I extend our heartfelt thanks to you for understanding his plight, empathizing with his situation and lending a helping hand. A few weeks ago, the entire family was barely managing three meals a day and for his grand-children, getting an education even from a small school or college was a distant possibility. Now they can look forward to completing their studies from even reputed universities in the country and building a future for themselves.
ImpactGuru has been extremely understanding and helpful throughout the entire journey of helping Deshraj Ji. They have initiated the funds transfer process and made the proceedings very smooth so that this senior citizen can finally retire without worrying about the daily survival of his family.
Deshraj Ji was so overwhelmed when he heard that strangers from around the world have given him a helping hand. Here is a picture with Deshraj Ji smiling and expressing his thanks. He has extended his prayers and good wishes for all of you.

Your outpour of love, support, and donations for Deshraj Ji has shown that the world is not yet devoid of compassion and humanity. The campaign has been closed now as the goal amount needed for Deshraj Ji’s family was not only achieved but also exceeded. Deshraj Ji and his family are overwhelmed and are immensely grateful that people understood their plight and decided to help. They never thought that they will ever reach a point where they will be able to say that they don’t need any more donations.
Deshraj Ji lives a minimalist existence and makes sure that he sends everyone he meets with blessings and good wishes. He uses a basic mobile phone and is not very tech-savvy at his age. I and ImpactGuru have been coordinating with Deshraj Ji to acquire his account details and deduce the mode through which the funds shall be transferred into his bank account.

With the help of ImpactGuru today, I got the opportunity to meet Deshraj Ji in person today. Never have I ever met a soul purer than him. It was an overwhelming experience to be around someone so selfless and humble.
He helps out healthcare workers, house helps by giving them a ferry in his auto-rickshaw. At the end of the day, he sleeps in the rickshaw itself and manages all of his daily tasks without any help from anyone.
On behalf of Deshaj Ji, I thank you all for supporting this initiative and helping out a family in need. Here is a small snippet of my encounter with him today. Please keep donating so that Deshraj Ji can retire peacefully and his grandkids can make a future for themselves.

I am Gunjan here. Firstly a massive thank you to everyone for supporting this initiative and helping Deshraj Ji. As a lot of you were asking for more of my details I just wanted to share that I am a recent graduate from Lala Lajpatrai College and reside with my family in Mumbai. Impact Guru has taken a copy of my official documents for their verification purposes.
Deshraj Ji’s story brought tears to my eyes and I was deeply moved by it. It made me realize how grateful I am to have a family. Recently I read a simple quote somewhere that said “If not me, who?” So instead of just hoping that things get better for him, I decided to take the initiative and started this fundraiser to help Deshraj Ji.
Deshraj Ji has 4 grandchildren who are still studying and even a daughter in law who has to manage the entire household.
All the support and donations that we have received till now has been overwhelming and has made me realize that the world is full of compassionate souls. So I have thought to raise the goal amount to Rs 20 lakh. Rs 10 lakh will be cover the costs of the education of the 4 grandkids. Another Rs 10 lakh will be able to provide a slightly better lifestyle to the family and healthcare for Deshraj Ji. The jolly old man is beyond his retirement age and is still working tirelessly. Doesn’t he deserve a little more comfort even in his old age?
