Bimalendu Ghose Foundation, established 2016, is an initiative aimed at creating skilled manpower by providing quality entrepreneurial learning and education in both manufacturing and service sectors. We are a non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of life of\ the under privileged and the destitute. We provide daily needs such as food, clothing with the hope that our efforts help them to lead a normal life and bring a smile to their faces. Driven by the mission to improve the quality of life for all those who are deprived of the basic needs; to help them sustain themselves; and to build awareness with regard to their current economic and social state.
BGF has been working in the rural interiors of Sonarpur in 24 Parganas (S) for several years. We have been working for the empowerment of women by training them in skills for upliftment of their lives and earn their livelihood. The Bimalendu Ghose Foundation has been training some of these women to become tailors and interest among local women to take up this and similar vocational courses to enhance their income levels is steadily growing. As the number of trainees is steadily increasing, there is a corresponding need to increase both our facilities and faculties. BGF has taken special care for organising medical and eye camps in this area from time to time and focused on providing nutritious food.
In the wake of the present crisis in Bengal because of the cyclone Amphan it’s our appeal to people to help us gather funds for rehabilitating people of Sonarpur, 24 parganas south, one of the worst affected areas in Bengal. We request you help us provide them with food and essentials and repair their broken houses at the earliest as 90% of the population has been rendered homeless.
