A Tiny Fighter Needs Your Support to Leave the NICU
The birth of a child is meant to be one of life’s happiest moments. For our family, that joy quickly turned into an unexpected medical emergency.
My name is Naveen Jain, and I am raising funds for our newborn baby boy, who was born prematurely at just 29 weeks of pregnancy. Since his birth, he has been receiving intensive medical care in the NICU. Initially, he was admitted to Cloudnine Hospital, and he is now undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
Our little baby has already faced challenges that no newborn should have to endure. Soon after birth, doctors detected a very dangerous fungal infection called Aspergillosis in his intestine, which required immediate surgical intervention to save his life. During the surgery, due to the severity of the infection, more than 30% of his small intestine had to be removed. Despite going through such a major procedure at such a young age, our little warrior continues to fight bravely every single day.
He remains under intensive NICU care, requiring ventilator support, constant monitoring, advanced medicines, nutrition support, and specialized treatment. Watching such a tiny child go through surgeries, machines, and critical care is an experience no parent ever imagines. Even though he is so small, his courage and strength continue to inspire everyone around him and give us hope.
Premature babies born at 29 weeks often require specialized neonatal care because many of their organs are still developing. In our baby’s case, the severe intestinal infection and the resulting surgery have made his recovery journey even more challenging. The doctors are doing everything possible to help him recover, but he needs continued medical care, time, and uninterrupted support to overcome this difficult phase.
Following the advice of his neonatal specialists, his treatment includes continuous NICU care, post-operative care after intestinal surgery, ventilator support and respiratory monitoring, advanced medicines, nutrition support, infection prevention, regular blood tests, imaging, medical investigations, specialized nursing care, and long-term developmental monitoring.
Since his birth, our family has already spent ₹16,00,000 on emergency treatment, surgery, NICU hospitalization, medicines, and intensive care. However, we still require ₹32,00,000 to continue his life-saving treatment. Despite our best efforts, the financial burden has become overwhelming, and we need your support to ensure that his treatment continues without interruption.
Your generous contribution will help cover his NICU stay, ongoing treatment, medicines, investigations, post-operative care, and specialized medical support. Every day, we hold onto the hope that our little boy will one day leave the NICU, breathe on his own, and grow up surrounded by the love of his family.
Our baby has already shown extraordinary courage in the very first days of his life. Your kindness can become an important part of his recovery journey and help give him the opportunity to enjoy the healthy childhood every child deserves.
We humbly request you to support our little fighter by contributing whatever you can. Every donation, no matter how small, brings him one step closer to recovery. If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser with your family, friends, and social networks. Your prayers, support, and kindness can make a life-changing difference for our baby and our family.
Together, we can give this tiny fighter the chance to overcome this difficult beginning and move towards a brighter, healthier future.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, generosity, and unwavering support.
