Let's come together and help the children to have a great childhood

DaanUtsav (earlier called the Joy of Giving Week) is India’s ‘festival of giving’. Launched in 2009, the festival is celebrated every year – commencing on Gandhi Jayanti – from October 2 to 8. From autorickshaw drivers to CEOs, school children to celebrities, homemakers to opinion leaders and media personnel, millions of people from all walks of life come together during this week to give their time, money, resources, or skills back to society.

Anthill Creations was founded by 5 passionate architecture grads from IIT-Kharagpur, we use recycled tyres & scrap to build wonderful, play areas & libraries for destitute and underprivileged children. Anthill aims to mobilise communities by creating low-cost, sustainable play spaces from recycled tires & scrap. We transform spaces into creative areas for children! These play spaces are created for children of all age-groups, with a specific focus on early childhood learning.

We have already impacted more than 8500 children across 7 different cities in India and Nepal in the past 2 years. These playgrounds are completely DIY and can be built in just 5 days.

Using scrap tyres to create Playgrounds for children - story -1

We at Anthill use scrap tyres for all of the play areas what we build. We are constantly evolving our techniques and process based on technology and the feedback we get from our play areas. We are always looking to make our projects more cost-effective and innovative so as to make it an attractive option to promote wholesome learning to India's next generation. There are over 981 million used tyres that are discarded or burnt each year globally, this is the treasure trove of a resource that we are tapping into to make children smarter and healthier.
