My name is Shobana, and I am raising funds for my daughter, Adithi Nilani, who is battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2, a serious genetic neuromuscular condition that affects muscle strength and movement.
Adithi’s condition requires immediate and specialized medical care. After carefully evaluating her condition, her doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, have advised her to undergo gene therapy on an urgent basis. This treatment is crucial to help manage her condition and give her a better chance at improving her quality of life.
As parents, we are doing everything possible to support our daughter and ensure that she receives the treatment she urgently needs. So far, we have spent approximately ₹50,000 towards her medical care. However, the cost of the recommended gene therapy is approximately ₹16 crore (₹16,00,00,000), which is far beyond what our family can afford on our own.
