“I go to the sea every day, but this is the hardest fight of my life.” — Aaradhya’s Father
My name is Vishwas Murtungi. I am a fisherman. Every morning, I go to the sea hoping the day’s catch will be enough to feed my family. I never imagined that one evening would leave me begging for my child’s life instead.
On 15 December 2025, around 5:30 PM, my 6-year-old daughter Aaradhya was trying to sit on our Activa scooter when suddenly a four-wheeler came from the opposite side and hit us. In seconds, everything went dark. There was no warning—just chaos, screams & my only daughter crying in pain.
We rushed her to the hospital. Doctors told me her injuries were severe. Since that day, Aaradhya has undergone three surgeries on her intestines. Today, she lies in the PICU on ventilator support, fighting a battle no child should ever have to fight.
Every time I enter the ICU, I hold her tiny hand and whisper, “Appa is here.” She cannot speak, but I believe she hears me. I tell her she must get better, that she has school to go back to, friends to play with, and a little brother waiting for her at home.
Doctors have now advised another urgent surgery — Exploratory Laparotomy. They say it is necessary to save her life.
I earn about ₹250 a day as a fisherman—only when the sea allows me to work. My wife sells fish and earns around ₹200 a day. That money barely covers our daily meals. Aaradhya is in 1st standard, and her brother is only 2 years old. Watching my child on a ventilator while knowing I cannot afford her treatment breaks me every single day.
But I have not lost hope.
I believe my daughter is strong. I believe she will open her eyes, walk again, and laugh the way she used to. I believe she deserves a future beyond hospital walls.
As a father, asking for help is not easy—but saving my daughter matters more than my pride.
Please help us give Aaradhya a chance to live.
Your support can bring my little girl back home.
