I am Gaurav B Gothi, a published poet, based out of Bangalore. I have been reading my poetry in various meetups and social circles in Bangalore since last 2-3 years. I have experienced that there is an immense talent and creativity among new poets and they are writing fantastic Hindustani poetry. I strongly feel that this kind of innovative poetry should go beyond the urban meetups. There is a serious need to collaborate and have meetups in the small towns to not just bring the awareness about the new kind of poetry but also get flavor of the small town poetry.
I am not talking about the high profile kavi sammelan. I am talking about the low profile "Ghummakad Kavita" which is more of a meetup where urban and small town poets can come together and read/appreciate/learn each others poems.
We want to plan for the first "Ghummakad Kavita" at Betul (M.P.) sometime during September 2017. Betul is a small town, located at the southern part of MP. This meetup require funds to make travel and other logistics arrangements. We need funds to kick start this meetup and post that we are planning to be dependent on a sustainable sponsorship.
This is a small step to bring in some awareness, learning and collaboration about good Hindustani poetry.
If you are convinced with this idea then do contribute to it. Thanks in advance.
