Story

"Football caught my interest when I was in high school. For many girls, even for those in sports, it is a strange idea as one associates the game only with men and boys. I want to change this and create a shining future for women in sports," shares 15-year-old Navnita, coming from a slum in Bengaluru, as she gets prepared to be a part of the Street Football World Festival 2016.

Like her, Harshitha, Manoj and Arbaz have been invited to be a part of this event scheduled to be held at Lyon, France in 2016. It is an official event of the Euro 2016 and these young people are superstars of Dream a Dream After School Life Skills Programme; One of a kind programme aimed at engaging and developing critical life skills through sports amongst young people from vulnerable backgrounds.

For these handpicked members of the squad from partner schools, such an opportunity could have been a distant dream as they hail from vulnerable backgrounds, but today it is a dream come true.

All four players are currently being trained by professional football players.

We invite you to Support Navnita and her friends and help them realize their dream to represent India at an international forum. The funds raised will help support their training, football gear, visa costs and travel to Lyon, France.
