First of all at the outset I thank you all for showing your interest in this situation, I hope that everyone who donates or shows support knows how much they mean to my family.
The birth of a child is one of the happiest moments in a person’s life.
But we are not enjoyed that moments because my daughter born with complicated delivery and not crying during birth due to lack of oxygen supply to her brain and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She began to have seizures within the first few weeks of her birth. (Cerebral palsy is caused by the lack of the flow of oxygen to the brain resulting in the shutting down of certain parts of the brain).
There started Swetha's journey with nonstop hospitals stay, diagnostics, rehabilitation centers, special schools etc.
She lives with her parents and there is no financial support given by the government to her family who has been paying for continuous physical and speech therapy and special child care. She has made little progress in her neurological development currently at the level of a three years old baby.
Swetha is now 7 years old. As per advised by Orthopedics doctor, We are planned and done the surgery for her bilateral hamstring muscles tightness releases on 10th July’17 at Kanchi Kamakoti Child Trust Hospital, Nungambakkam, Chennai by Dr. Vijay Sriram– Orthopediatric Surgeon. The surgeries cost total spent around Rs.90,000/- with support of my well wisher, friends and some relatives.
Now, the post surgery care and long term treatment is hard to pull on. Due to their very limited resources, I ask for your help and support. Our ultimate goal is to raise Rs.2,00,000 for her ongoing therapy which would help her overcome her disabilities.
However there is hope at the end of this dark tunnel.
My humble request, anything you can contribute will be deeply appreciated and helpful. Due to perseverance and my strong will, I have made strides in life that were once called impossible for an individual of my daughter’s medical circumstance.
Thank you in advance for all your help and support which would never be forgotten by my family all through my life. I will be very grateful to you for your generous and timely help in this regard.
