I am K. Ajith Kumar from the National Cadet Corps of Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT-NCC). I am currently holding the position of Company Quarter Sergeant Master. I am here on behalf of CIT-NCC. There are 62 cadets in CIT-NCC. All cadets from CIT-NCC save ?30 monthly (actually one Rupee a day) which sums up to ?1860. All cadets are hostelers. We buy stationary items and snacks with this money and we visit orphanages in and around Coimbatore every three months and distribute them to children and spend the whole day with them. In some cases we bring them to our college and provide the same here and entertain them with cultural performances and we also conduct competitions and give them prizes. Since all this is entirely funded by the NCC Cadets, we always run short of money and some cadets will have to pour in their entire monthly savings to compensate for the whole amount. We don't receive any kind of monetary support from our college and speaking of college mates, they donate for people needing medical assistance every month so we don't want to trouble them more. So I thought if somebody out there could help us by donating certain amount of money so that we will be able to fulfil their requirements without troubling the cadets every time.
Here are some photos of my junior cadets spending some time with the children.
