These 3 People Went Out Of Their Way To Help Someone Find Out How

The act of altruism involves the selfless concern for the well-being of others.  The mere joy that you receive from helping someone and putting a smile on their face cannot be put into words. 

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people found themselves in medical emergencies. They were unable to pay the treatment bills and risked losing their lives. With the lockdown, things became worse. Many good samaritans came forward to help these people by introducing them to crowdfunding platforms like ImpactGuru. In a few simple steps, they started to raise funds from donors all over for these people and helped them pay off their medical bills. Here’s how they did it.

1. A Good Samaritan Saves A Father Of Two From Covid-19

What happened?

Shankar was contacted by a poor family for support. A man named Devendra Jana was hospitalized due to Covid-19 complications. 

Devendra was undergoing treatment at Jayashree Multi-Speciality Hospital, Begur Bangalore. He tested positive for Covid-19 on 3rd May with severe breathing difficulties. Doctors said that prolonged ICU Treatment with oxygen was his only chance of survival and hope for recovery. The treatment was going to cost them Rs 5 Lakhs.

2. How A Nephew Raised Funds To Save His Aunt From The Clutches Of Black Fungus

What happened?

Sai Krishna was raising funds for his aunt, Krishnaveni. She tested positive for Covid-19 and was in ICU for a few days. She was later infected by black fungus and had to undergo an operation on the left side of her face. Her treatment was going to cost the family about Rs 30 lakhs in total. 

What is the latest update?

Here is what Krishnaveni’s nephew had to say:

“Dear Donors,

Thank you for your heartwarming response to my aunt, Krishnaveni's treatment. What would we have done without your love and support?

She is under continuous medical supervision. The doctors are hopeful of her steady recovery. She is undergoing an antifungal injection course of treatment. 

I am grateful to you for saving my aunt's life. Very soon, I hope to share the good news of her discharge. Until then, do keep supporting us as she still needs medical support and prolonged medication.”
