Life has to be a continuous learning process. Albert Einstein once very rightly said- “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” If you stop learning, you stop growing.
With advancements in technology, traditional jobs are being replaced. Upskilling is the process of learning new or additional skills. These skills should be relevant in present times and also for the near future. It originated as a workplace trend which enabled employees to take part in training programs to increase their skill sets. Amidst the pandemic, upskilling has been the need of the hour.
Who can be upskilled?
College students take upskilling courses to prepare themselves for the work industry and NGOs have started various upskilling programs for the disabled. Over the years, upskilling has become a broader term. It is not only limited to the workplace but also the society at large.
Covid Warrior Upskilling Program
Nurses have been underappreciated throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In India, there is one nurse for every 670 of us. Nurses have always been on the frontline since the start of the pandemic. They risked their lives while taking care of their patients.
An upskilling program was one of the best ways to thank these selfless nurses for their contributions. Impact Guru in collaboration with the Apollo Hospitals Group started this initiative. It’s focus was aimed at providing advanced training to nurses in their respective fields. The program aims to upskill 100,000 nurses across India over the next few years.
Nurses need your support. Come forward and donate to #ThankANurse campaign. You can also share this campaign far and wide through social media.

According to the World Economic Forum, it’s not only the people who would benefit from upskilling but also our economy and society as a whole
The success of a nation depends on its people. Upskilling people from different sections of the society would make them independent and they would also have motivation towards their work.
If you are interested in planning an upskilling program for a group of people but are finding it difficult to arrange funds, you could start a fundraiser on our platform. Donors will generously donate to your noble cause online.
